Pickleball is so much darn fun and it feels so good to really whack that ball that we often hit it too long, or out of bounds to the right or left. My advice: SLOW IT DOWN. Be patient and get the ball in the court. Placement trumps power (apologies for using his name). More important is to keep your eye on the ball, swing through the ball and follow through. If you follow through you won't have to bash the ball. At our level, the team that wins is the team which makes the fewer mistakes
